Shree Mota 52 Kadva Patidar Samaj Pragati Mandal – Vadodara organized a night cricket tournament on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024, at Sara Cricket Ground in Dena, Vadodara.
- A total of 48 players participated in the tournament, and over 350+ family members joined the event to cheer on and support the young players.
- The tournament was began with the national anthem, and chants in honor of “Umiya Mataji”.
- The entire tournament featured highly competitive matches. The final match between DIAMOND XI and KP LIONS was particularly thrilling, going into a super over before the DIAMOND XI emerged victorious.
- Dr. Abhay Shaileshbhai Patel (Ganeshpura, Pudgam), an orthopedic surgeon, sponsor of the “Lt. Keshubhai Patel Memorial Cup”, and Shri. Nikunj Ashwinbhai Patel (Tundav) from Micro Air Systems, sponsor of T-shirts were present to boost everyone’s spirits.
- KP LIONS team sponsor Shri Jyantibhai V. Patel (Ranchhodpura), DIAMOND XI team sponsor Shri. Chandubhai M. Patel (Kansarakui), UMA XI team sponsor Shri. Jayeshbhai G. - The presence of community members until midnight for the final match and subsequent trophy and medal distribution was truly inspiring.
- In his unique style, President Shri. Shaileshbhai K. Patel (Ganeshpura, Pudgam) spoke about his confidence in the youth, their boundless enthusiasm, the necessity of such tournaments for social organization, and the importance of youth participation.
- Every players from the two finalist teams were awarded trophies and medals in recognition of their contributions. Also, individual players who exhibited outstanding performances throughout the tournament were also honored by medals.
- The cricket committee’s organization and preparation throughout the tournament were commendable. The committee expressed heartfelt gratitude to all team owners, family members, and sponsors. The presence of family members until midnight for the final match and subsequent medal distribution was truly inspiring. Pragati mandal also arranged a delightful evening meal and served hot snacks at late night.
